Savannah-Chatham police are investigating an early morning Wednesday shooting that killed a female and injured three males.
Police officers responded to the 800 block of West 33rd Street just before 1:30 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert followed by calls from the Savannah Fire Department and dispatch. Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old male, a 40 year-old male, a 52-year-old male and a 34-year-old woman, Brandy Council, suffering from gunshot wounds, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.
Council succumbed to her injuries, Baker said, and the three men were taken to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives believe there were at least two shooters in this case and are working to identify all suspects.
The investigation is ongoing, Baker said.
