Police on Tybee Island say someone broke into a popular beachfront eatery and made off with its ATM.
Officers were called to the North Beach Bar and Grill early Sunday morning. They found storm covering on one side of the restaurant had been pulled away and that someone had cut open the screen.
According to a police report, officers noticed an area of the floor near the bar where wood had been damaged. A manager told police that was where an ATM used to be located.
Police processed the scene. They believe the burglary happened between 11 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
