Savannah-Chatham police seek to identify larceny suspect

Savannah-Chatham police are looking to identify a man suspected of stealing several thousand dollars’ worth of lawn care equipment on Dec. 20.

At approximately 11:18 a.m., police responded to a report of theft at a storage center on the 100 block of Tibet Avenue, said police spokeswoman Darnisha Green. Investigators believe the items were stolen between Dec. 17 and Dec. 20. The lawn care equipment was stored in trucks at the storage center, where the suspect used hand tools to enter the trucks and retrieve the stolen lawn equipment, Green said.
