

Savannah-Chatham police have arrested one suspect and identified a second in two Savannah auto thefts.
Thelron Holmes, 29, was arrested in Greenville, S.C., on Jan. 15. At the time of Holmes’ arrest, he was in possession of a vehicle stolen Dec. 30 from a business on the 5300 block of Bull Street, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.
Holmes is awaiting extradition to Chatham County.
Police have identified Edwin Fripp, 20, as the second suspect in the December auto thefts.
Fripp is currently being held at the Chatham County Detention Center on armed robbery, firearm possession and auto theft charges linked to a Dec. 29 incident on the 3300 block of Ogeechee Road, Baker said.
He also faces multiple charges of theft by taking, Baker said.
