A Savannah woman on Wednesday was indicted on murder and related charges in the fatal shooting of a man in Windsor Forest.

Adrienne Marie Jackson caused the death of Evan Alexander Colquitt on Jan. 22 by shooting him, the Chatham County grand jury said in returning a malice-murder count.

The same grand jurors also indicted Jackson, 22, on a felony murder count of causing Colquitt’s death while committing the felony of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer and aggravated assault.

Colquitt, 17, was shot repeatedly in front of a home on Sharondale Road.

Testimony at a preliminary hearing showed Colquitt was hanging out with a group smoking marijuana when Jackson approached and asked for a “tree,” a street term for marijuana.

When the victim headed to his scooter supposedly to get the marijuana, Jackson grabbed him around the neck and fired four to five shots when Colquitt broke loose, testimony showed.
