Police say they’re searching for a man suspected of an armed robbery in Savannah’s Live Oak neighborhood early Friday morning.
Just after midnight, the man walked up to a woman in the 1400 block of East 40th Street and demanded money, said Sonny Cohrs, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman. The victim was able to fight off the suspect, who ran away. She was treated for minor injuries at Memorial University Medical Center.
Detectives say the suspect is 25-30 years old, black, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, roughly 140 pounds and was wearing a dark hoodie and light pants at the time of the robbery.
