Raynard Lamar Lexie today was sentenced to life in prison with 25 years to serve in the 2012 home invasion and assault on two SCAD students.
Chatham County Superior Court Judge Timothy R. Walmsley ordered the remainder of the term to be served on probation.
Lexie, 20, was convicted in May of aggravated sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated assault, armed robbery and burglary in the September 21, 2012 attack at the Waldburg Street home of two SCAD students.
One of the students was sexually assaulted at gunpoint. A second student was run into by the assailant as she arrived home and broke her leg.
