U.S. marshals on Thursday arrested a Garden City man charged in a Savannah assault.
Edwin Fripp, 18, was arrested by officers with the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force at Chatham Parkway and Park of Commerce Drive, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
Metro police had charged Fripp with aggravated assault, armed robbery and criminal attempt at murder in connection with a July 22 armed robbery of a 21-year-old man in east Savannah. Miller said the victim was approached a second time by Fripp, who attempted to shoot him.
On Saturday, metro police announced they’d charged Fripp and were looking for him.
