
Savannah-Chatham police have charged a youth arrested in Garden City with the shooting of a Savannah man during an Aug. 3 robbery.
Keyon Malik Morman, 17, has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault in the shooting of a 50-year-old man at his business on the 1900 block of Waters Avenue, said Julian Miller, metro police spokesman.
Morman was arrested Wednesday about 11:30 p.m. by Garden City police on charges of possession of a weapon in committing a crime, jaywalking, possession of a firearm by a person younger than 18 and carrying a concealed weapon, Miller said.
The victim remains in stable but serious condition at Memorial University Medical Center, where he was transported after the 6 a.m. shooting, Miller said.
The investigation is continuing.
