Metro police and U.S. marshals in Savannah on Tuesday arrested a couple wanted in connection with a burglary in Putnam County.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce located Brittany Shae Sauls, 27, and her boyfriend Jacob Lee Wilson, 31, and stopped them in a parking lot at 5520 White Bluff Road, said Michelle Gavin, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
Metro police officers and K-9s also responded.
The dogs alerted on the car, and officers seized cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, hypodermic needles, approximately $55,000 in cash, and ammunition, Gavin said.
Sauls and Wilson are wanted for breaking into Sauls’ grandparents’ home in Putnam County on Sept. 24, Gavin said.
They will be transported back to Putnam County, where they are charged with burglary in the first degree. Local drug charges are pending.
