Police are asking the public for help identifying a person they say had a gun when he robbed a southside Savannah motel at on Sunday.
Detectives are trying to identify a male who entered the LaQuinta Inn on the 8400 lock of Abercorn Street about 1:18 a.m. Sunday, demanded money from the cash drawer and ran, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
Police describe the suspect as a black male who stands about 6 feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds, has long dread-locked hair pulled into a ponytail and was dressed in all black with black gloves and a ski mask during the robbery.
