Police say a man was shot at a mobile home park in unincorporated Chatham County Saturday evening.
One man was taken to a hospital for treatment after being shot in the arm about 7:30 p.m. at Riverview Mobile Estates off Lucas Drive, which is near Montgomery just south of Savannah.
Investigators believe the victim knew the person who shot him, said Michelle Gavin, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman. No one was in custody immediately after the shooting, she said.
The incident is the fourth shooting metro police are investigating Saturday.
The first, which occurred before dawn, claimed a life on the westside. Officers found a 22-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound in a car on Hudson Street just before 4 a.m. His name was being withheld Saturday evening pending notification of next of kin. Gavin said there are solid leads in the slaying investigation.
A person suffered a gunshot wound after a firearm was discharged in a southside home about 4 p.m. and another person was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot on the eastside about the same time, Gavin said.
Investigators are following leads in all the cases and do not believe them to be connected, she said.
