Police say a man was shot in a Savannah park Wednesday afternoon.
The 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound after the 1:41 p.m. incident, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
He was on the basketball court in Wells Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between East 38th and 39th streets when a passenger in a gray vehicle, being driven north on MLK, fired towards him. A passerby provided detectives with a photograph of what was described as the vehicle.
