Savannah-Chatham police say they arrested a city man Wednesday night after a task force identified him as the suspect who fired multiple shots into two units of a mobile home park.

Kevin Rashawn Bryant, 31, was located in one of the units where he lives and identified as the suspect who fired shots into a neighboring unit and the one he rents, said Julian Miller, metro police spokesman. He has been charged with reckless conduct and criminal damage to property in the first degree.

Patrol officers had responded to the 3300 block of Ogeechee Road about 9:23 p.m. in answer to a shots fired call when they heard additional shots being fired.

The Immediate Response Team task force, patrol officers and violent crimes detectives saturated the area, halting traffic on Ogeechee Road and surrounding the neighborhood. Officers conducted a door-to-door search for several hours until they located the units with gunfire damage and identified Bryant, Miller said.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
