Savannah-Chatham police are investigating a one-car wreck that left the driver in serious condition Tuesday.
Tracey Dudley, 49, was transported for treatment after the noon crash on Little Neck Road near New Hampstead Parkway, said Julian Miller, police spokesman.
Dudley was the sole occupant of a red 2003 Ford Taurus SE traveling south on Little Neck Road at an excessive rate of speed, Miller said. As the Taurus approached a curve, Dudley failed to maintain his lane and lost control, Miller said. The car left the west side of the roadway and struck a culvert, sending it airborne. It came to rest on its side in a wooded area.
Major Accident Investigation Team officers continue to investigate the crash.
