Detectives have arrested a Savannah teenager and recovered more than a dozen guns that were stolen from a Forest Hill home Monday.

John Bailey, 17, was taken into custody at his home in the 5300 block of Jasmine Avenue on Tuesday, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman. He’s been charged with burglary.

Guns stolen from the Forest Hill home were found hidden throughout the property where Bailey lives, as was ammunition, clothing and electronics, Baker said. A computer reported stolen from a vehicle on Ralston Way as also found at Bailey’s residence. That resulted in him being charged with entering auto.

Baker said detectives are working to determine if other people were involved in the crimes.

Police ask anyone with information on the investigation to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or detectives at 912-525-3124. All callers remain anonymous.
