The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team arrested two residents on drug-related charges Friday with the help of Savannah-Chatham police.
CNT arrested Allahnah Quinones, 27, and Richard Voigt, 25, both of Savannah. Quinones and Voigt are charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, said Gene Harley, CNT spokesman. Both are being held in the Chatham County Detention Center, Harley said. Quinones and Voigt were both arraigned Monday in Chatham County Recorder’s Court, where Quinones was granted a $4,900 bond and Voigt was denied bond.
CNT began its investigation into Quinones and Voigt several months ago after agents noticed they were regularly purchasing items commonly utilized in manufacturing methamphetamine, Harley said.
CNT has linked at least one methamphetamine lab to the couple.
Also during this time, CNT and metro police linked the couple to a burglary of a residence. Items found inside that residence suggested methamphetamine was manufactured.
Police are sitll investigating the burglary, and charges against Quinones and Voight are expected, Harley said.
