Savannah-Chatham police arrest suspect in Anderson Street homicide

With aid by the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service, Savannah-Chatham police located and charged a man for his suspected role in a shooting that killed 20 year-old Aaron Anderson.

Ernest Grady, 19, was arrested 3 p.m. Friday in Atlanta, Georgia, said Darnisha Green, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.

On Dec. 6, police responded to the 300 block of East Anderson Street, where Anderson was found outside of a residence with a gunshot wound, Green said. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Grady is charged with involuntary manslaughter and he will be transported back to Savannah, Green said.

The investigation is ongoing.
