Police say they’re investigating the second carjacking in as many nights in downtown Savannah.

A man went to a restaurant in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard about 8 p.m. Monday for help, said Darnisha Green, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.

The man reported he was at a rooming house near the 600 block of Montgomery Street when at least two suspects approached him and robbed of his keys at gunpoint. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s white 2012 Dodge Ram pickup bearing the Georgia license plate DDV160. They were last seen in the vehicle driving north on Montgomery, Green said.

Police ask anyone with information on the case to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.

On Sunday night, two suspects also took a Honda Accord at gunpoint at Bay and Habersham streets. Police found it a few miles away and said they detained a person of interest in the case.
