A Savannah man on Wednesday was indicted on murder and related charges in the shooting death of his father during a domestic dispute.
Torres Antwan Burroughs caused the death of Frank Burroughs, 46, by shooting him March 17, the Chatham County grand jury determined in returning a malice-murder count.
The grand jurors also indicted Burroughs, 23, on a felony murder count by causing his father’s death during the commission of another felony of aggravated assault by shooting him.
The indictment included counts of aggravated assault, family violence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Savannah-Chatham police said the fatal shooting in the Laurelwood subdivision off Quacco Road occurred during a domestic dispute.
