Savannah-Chatham police were on scene at West 47th and Bulloch streets in Savannah on Tuesday afternoon after they say an injured person was found in a Cann Park street.
Police spokesman Julian Miller said the male was found about 2 p.m. lying on the 800 block of West 47th. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center. The extent of the male’s injuries were not immediately clear, but Miller said they are believed to be serious.
Violent crimes detectives and forensics units are on scene. The 800 block of West 47th was blocked off while investigators work and interview witnesses. People from the neighborhood stood near the intersection of West 47th and Bulloch to watch police work.
