Savannah-Chatham police have released a sketch of a suspect wanted for a shooting on Whitaker Street last week.
Police say the suspect is a black male with a dark complexion and short twisties in his hair. The victim was on Whitaker at Hall Street about 11:12 p.m. July 15 when the suspect tried to rob him, said Julian Miller, metro police spokesman. He received a non-life threatening gunshot wound when he resisted.
Robbery detectives ask anyone with information on the case, the identity or location of the suspect to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) using the keyword CSTOP2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
