Garden City police say a baby is OK after being struck by a brick a woman chucked through the glass portion of a Camaro’s roof Thursday afternoon.
Another woman was driving the Camaro to visit the father of her child about 3 p.m. when the man’s girlfriend, Kiara Griffin, allegedly went to wait outside and threw a brick at the car as it neared Third Street and De Lettre Avenue, said Garden City Police Chief David Lyons.
The brick went through the car’s T-top, ricocheted, and part of it struck the child in the face, Lyons said.
The police chief called it “a glancing strike on the nose,” and said the baby was OK.
Police Capt. Gil Ballard said the baby was not taken to a hospital, but that the brick caused a slight nose bleed.
Police said future charges could be pending in the case, and that the investigation is ongoing.
