Two men charged in Savannah pizza robbery

Two Savannah-area men were arrested on felony charges Wednesday night after a police K-9 tracked them from the site of where a pizza delivery driver was robbed to their home.

Rodney Hubert Glover, 26, and Malik Salim Watkins, 19, both of the 2100 block of Countryside Drive, were charged with armed robbery, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman. A K-9 tracked them to their residence, where property taken in the robbery was located, Miller said.

They were identified as the two men who robbed a 19-year-old pizza delivery driver on Brookview Drive about 9:45 p.m., Miller said.

Savannah-Chatham police detectives continue to investigate the case and other robberies of pizza delivery drivers.

Police ask anyone with information on the case to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) using the keyword CSTOP2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
