Police in Savannah say they arrested a 14-year-old after tracing an item taken in a burglary then posted on a website back to him.
Detectives charged the youth with burglary, theft by deception and two counts of theft by receiving, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman. He was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
Southside Precinct Crime Suppression Unit officers contacted the teenager to purchase one of the items taken in a burglary on Sunday on North Berwick Drive after the item was noticed on Craigslist, Miller said.
The investigation is continuing.
