Police say a teenager was shot Wednesday evening on Savannah’s eastside.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of East 37th Street about 7:50 p.m. There, they found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life threatening at the time, Miller said.
The investigation was in its early stages Wednesday night, and no further information about the case was immediately available.
Police are asking anyone who can help them solve the crime to come forward.
