The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team has been awarded for an operation that took down several members of an alleged statewide gang with local ties.
The Georgia Gang Investigators Association presented CNT with the 2015 Presidents Award for the investigation and prosecution of numerous members of the Ghost Face Gangsters gang at the association’s yearly conference.
CNT’s investigation into the Ghost Face Gangsters concluded with numerous search warrants across the stat, a large seizure of crystal methamphetamine and firearms and the arrest of numerous Ghost Face members, including two who were high-ranking, said Gene Harley, CNT spokesman. One of the alleged high-ranking members arrested was Christopher Henry, who was already in the Wilcox State Prison. While in prison, Henry had his wife, Regina Henry, oversee the group’s distribution of the crystal methamphetamine, Harley said.
