Police say one person was severely injured when he was shot Wednesday evening in West Savannah.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Ferrill Street just after 6 p.m. and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound, said Michelle Gavin, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the victim’s injuries were considered life threatening.
A suspect was in custody by 6:30 p.m., Gavin said.
No further information was immediately available.
