Savannah-Chatham police investigate Wednesday shooting

Savannah-Chatham police are investigating a Wednesday shooting that occurred near Waters Avenue and 34th Street.

Just before 8 p.m. police arrived at the scene where a 28-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman. The man was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Baker said.

The man was reportedly conversing with a female when shots were fired by two male subjects.

Both suspects are black males. One suspect’s hair is styled in short twists. The suspects were last seen traveling west on 34th Street.
