Police say a pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by vehicles near downtown Savannah.
The pedestrian, who is in his early 20s, walked into the road at 32nd and Bull streets shortly after 1 p.m. He was struck by one vehicle and then ricochetted off another, said Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman Eunicia Baker. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries.
The police department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the case.
