A 38-year-old man wanted for kidnapping a woman from a Savannah hospital and raping her was captured early Friday afternoon, said police spokesman Julian Miller
Members of the U.S .Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force with Savannah-Chatham police took Torrey Scott into custody a day after police obtained warrants for the man suspected in the Feb. 8 incident.
The woman was attacked on a Sunday morning about 7:30 by a man who approached her car at Candler Hospital, robbed her, forced her to drive to a secluded area and attacked her, Miller said.
Miller said the investigation was continuing.
