A man is in serious condition at a local hospital after being shot Monday afternoon in Savannah’s Dixon Park neighborhood.
Just after 4:30 p.m., officers responding to reports of shots being fired near East Henry Lane and Price Street found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.
He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center, where Tuesday he was listed in serious but stable condition.
A male called police soon after the shooting to report he had shot the victim during an altercation, Baker said. He was interviewed by detectives and released, Baker said.
