A Richmond Hill man, George T. Grant, was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 7 on three counts of child pornography.
Grant made his initial appearance in court Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge G.R. Smith where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. Bond was set at $250,000.
The indictment charges Grant with knowingly receiving one or more images of depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct in December 2009 and again in March 2014.
He is also charged with distributing pornographic images of minors, as well as possessing one or more images that involved a prepubescent minor younger than 12 engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Garden City police want info on gas station burglary
Police in Garden City are looking for information about a late-night burglary at a gas station over the weekend.
Early last Saturday or Sunday morning three people somehow busted a small hole in the back wall of the Chevron station at U.S. 80 and Chatham Parkway, went in and made off with money and cigarettes, said Garden City police Capt. Gil Ballard.
The hole was not large and could only be crawled through, Ballard said. Police are unsure exactly how the wall, which is concrete, was breached. That area of the building is somewhat concealed by shrubbery, the police captain said.
Once inside the building, the burglars went into gaming machines and an ATM, Ballard said. They also filled three garbage bags full of cigarette cartons and some other goods, he said.
No description of the suspects was available, but police were able to tell from surveillance video that three people were involved.
Investigators ask anyone with information on the case to call Garden City police at 912-966-7770 or CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
